Amazon Electronics UL Report

It is believed that many Amazon sellers who export products to the European Union have received emails from Amazon notifying the sellers to provide the Declaration of Conformity (hereinafter referred to as “DoC”).

1. What is a DoC conformity declaration document?

According to EU regulations, DoC is a mandatory document. As a manufacturer or authorized representative, you need to sign a declaration that your product complies with EU requirements. By signing the DoC document, it shows that your product complies with EU laws and is fully responsible.

2. What kind of DoC documents meet the requirements?

As a manufacturer, you are responsible for drafting the EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC. It should contain the following information:

1. Your name and complete company address or authorized representative's name

2. Product serial number, model or type identification

3. A statement stating that you take full responsibility

4. Product identification methods that can be traced-can include a picture (the product identification method that is allowed to be returned-can include a picture)

5. Detailed information of the notified body that conducts the conformity assessment procedure (if applicable)

6. The relevant laws that the product complies with and any uniform standards or other methods used to prove compliance

7. Your name and signature

8. Date of issuance of the declaration

9. Supplementary information (if applicable)

For imported products, the importer must ensure that the product is accompanied by a DoC and must keep a copy of the product for 10 years after the product is placed on the market. You must translate the EU Declaration of Conformity into one or more languages required by the country/region where the product is sold.

3. Who is eligible to draft DoC documents?

According to EU regulations, manufacturers are currently qualified to draft EU conformity declaration documents. Manufacturers can generally refer to product manufacturers or brand owners, that is, product or brand owners, before they can draft EU conformity declaration documents. Sex declaration file.

The EU clauses are as follows:

Manufacturers play a vital role in ensuring the safety of products placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) expanded single market. They are responsible for checking whether their products comply with EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. The manufacturer is responsible for the conformity assessment, the establishment of technical documents, the release of the EU declaration of conformity and the CE mark on the product. Only in this way can the product be traded on the EEA market.

4. Matters needing attention in pasting the CE mark on the product

(1) Determine applicable directives and coordinated standards

(2) Verify product specific requirements

(3) Determine whether an independent conformity assessment (conducted by a designated agency) is required

(4) Test the product and check its eligibility

(5) Draft and keep the required technical documents

(6) Affix the CE mark and draft the EU declaration of conformity

As the conformity assessment procedure changes, these 6 precautions may vary from product to product. The manufacturer must not paste the CE mark into the product range that does not belong to one of its paste instructions.

5. Who should sign the DoC documents?

The significance of the DoC declaration of conformity document is to express that the manufacturer or brand of the product is fully responsible for the compliance of their products with the EU's compliance clauses, and is a self-declaration document. Even if Oudi has to pay joint liability for the products delivered by the manufacturer, he is not the owner of the product or the brand after all. This declaration of conformity is the sole responsibility of the manufacturer.

According to EU product compliance regulations, a "manufacturer" is a person who has the right to draft a DoC compliance statement, and the so-called "manufacturer" generally refers to the manufacturer or brand of the product.

According to the relevant EU policy guidance documents, the European generation does not need to sign the DoC conformity declaration document.

Although the DoC declaration of conformity is a very simple and easy to handle declaration document on the surface, its significance in EU countries is as important as the CE certification, which determines whether the product can be sold on the market. Before the EU Product Compliance Act was officially implemented, the Amazon platform continued to crack down on non-compliant CE-marked products. Therefore, sellers still need to pay attention to this aspect.
